MALTAS-SANTA BARBARA (MARATHIAS)
Maltas beach is also known as Marathias beach. It is a wonderful long sandy beach with crystal blue water which make it one of the most beautiful beaches of Corfu island. Maltas beach is a dream place for every person with its warm crystal clear water and the golden sand.
In case you want to be together with a few people there is an organized part of the beach, while there is another part of the beach which is quite private since Maltas beach length is about 2000 meters. The beach offers chaise longues, umbrellas and water sports facilities. It’s ideal for family holidays. Palaiokastritsa is located at the central western coast of the island 25 Km from Corfu town, It is constituted by two small peninsulas which permit the tourists to choose between six different bays where they can relax and swim in the crystal blue-green waters.
The beaches combine both sand and pebbles and surrounded by olive trees forests creating an icredible scenery. The area has many taverns and cafes. The monastery of Moni Theotokou located on the top of a little promontory worth visiting.
Gardeno beach took its name from a small river that flows into the sea just in this part of coast. Coming to this bay you will pass through the nice traditional village of Vitalades. It is a long sandy beach with crystal clear and swallow waters near the southwestern part of Corfu. There are several restaurants around it, car parking, showers, sun loungers and umbrellas.
AGIOS GEORGIOS (ARGYRADES)
The beach of Agios Georgios Argyradon is a wide, sandy beach with gradually descending waters in southwestern Corfu. It is an organised beach where you may enjoy the sea and the sun as well as a variety of watersports. Agios Georgios Argyradon beach has chaise longues and umbrellas, a good selection of tavernas and cafes.
Glyfada Beach is one of the most popular Corfu beaches in south-west coast of the island. Glyfada Beach is long, wide and sandy and caters mainly to young people as it offers several beach bars and cafes. It is well-organized with water sports facilities, long chairs and umbrellas.
